The ability to crush, screen and reprocess materials is necessary to provide the most comprehensive service to our clients. Lancaster Earthmoving Ltd has carries out these operations with our own Parker and Powerscreen, tracked, crushing and screening plant.
Our Parker 960 tracked crusher offers a good balance between output and versatility. The remote control machine is operated by the loading operator. Computerised weigh belts keep a close check on output should it be required for measurement purposes. A 20 tonne Volvo shovel handles the stockpiles.
To complete the operation, our excavator mounted hydraulic breakers vary in weight from 1.5 to 3.5 tonnes and are complemented by Geith concrete "nibblers".
Our screening plant, also a remote controlled and tracked unit, gains use both with the crusher and independently in reprocessing operations.
Lancaster Earthmoving Ltd, has carried out works including the break-out of concrete and its reprocessing to re-usable Type 1 sub-base or capping material. Examples include RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk and RAF Coltishall in Norfolk. On both contracts, concrete was excavated, crushed and supplied back to the main contractor as sub-base or new concrete aggregate. Surplus material was disposed off site.
